Every year 145,000 Canadian workers are exposed to asbestos in their workplace and, tragically, over 2,000 are still being diagnosed with often fatal diseases, like mesothelioma and lung cancer. These startling figures have earned asbestos a reputation as the number one workplace killer. Even after banning the mining and export of asbestos in 2011, Canada continues to allow the importation of products containing asbestos.

Our Asbestos Awareness course will teach your employees to recognize potential asbestos containing materials (ACM) so they can protect themselves from accidental exposure. They will be able to report potential ACM hazards to supervisors or employers.
Note: If workers are intended to work with or remove portions of Asbestos Containing Material then other training is required:
