​PREREQUISITE: Fall Arrest: non-construction OR Working at Heights
New Trainees 5 – 8 hours 
  • 1-6 Participants: $1200.00/Session
  • 7-12 Participants: $1,800.00/Session
​Experienced Students 3-4 hours
  • 1-6 Participants: $1000.00/Session
  • 7-12 Participants: $1,200.00/Session
​Note: Travel charges and HST may apply. If equipment is not supplied by the employer then rental fees will also apply.

About this course

This course provides in-depth training for machine operators that adheres to CAN/CSA B354.4-02 (R2013). Students receive theory and practical instruction on the safe operation of machinery, applicable Health and Safety Act requirements, accident prevention, safe handling of materials, loads and stability, and operational controls.
  • Understanding travel restraint systems and options for equipment are discussed and put into practice during practical training
  • Students must complete and pass a theory and practical skills test to attain certification.​
  • Recertification every three years is recommended or sooner if new equipment is put into use; or the operator has had an incident or is otherwise struggling.
