​How we help

Through our partnership with Safety Guys Workplace Safety Trainers, we are able to train new instructors to take the lead role in providing safety training to First Nation, Métis, and Inuit communities. Together, we find creative solutions to provide safety training that is designed to meet and exceed OHSA and CSA standards. In Ontario, Working at Heights and JHSC training are CPO Approved.

​You Receive Ongoing Support 

Two Row Health and Safety is dedicated to providing multiple training options so you can continue to learn and grow as an instructor. Your success is important to us.

IN ​PERSON
​Participate in scheduled courses for a period of time based on your level of experience. If possible, you will travel to Tyendinaga to work with Safety Guys.

​We have a variety of online courses created using the Rise360 platform. We are committed to building resources for students and our providers. ​

DISTANCE LEARNING
​Using Microsoft Teams or Zoom, we can connect with you in remote locations. This will provide training and help us keep in touch with your progress. ​

The Ideal Candidate

​Ideally, the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) candidate will have a background in health, safety, and/or the use of equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts and heavy equipment.

​However, we feel it is equally important that you have the "x" factor that makes you a good instructor. You must love teaching, are patient, kind and treat all people with respect as they begin to learn the ins and outs of mandatory safety programs.

Are a natural born storyteller with experiences to share?
If you feel you have the "x" factor but are lacking in safety knowledge and experience, please contact us. We are willing to work extensively with the right person to help you become a competent trainer. ​

Transferrable Skills

​Through engaging instruction, self-guided study and distance learning with one of our instructors, you will learn to become an effective Training Provider who is capable of the following:

  • Show sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Act in a professional manner at all times
  • Create a positive learning environment for learners

  • ​Engage learners
  • Facilitate group discussions
  • Manage hands-on demonstrations
  • Assess learning and performance
  • ​Submit training records to the organization

  • Use training materials to instruct courses
  • Safely demonstrate PPE, tools and equipment
  • Apply and interpret regulations to the training 
  • ​Conduct and mark theory tests

Program Details

Your time commitment

The length of training will vary between individuals and will depend on their previous experience, and the type of course they would like to take TTT for. Programs that are CPO approved, such as Working at Heights and Joint Health and Safety may take 6-8 weeks for those without previous experience. 

For experienced candidates, we have created an approach that combines minimal time in the classroom.

This may be a customized field based on the training program that will be designed for each individual candidate. The candidate's amount of experience in any given subject will play a part in determining the type and length of training that is required.
