About this course
Chainsaws are one of the most widely used power tools at home and in the workplace. They also have the potential to be among the most lethal. Whether it be the weekend warrior cutting firewood or a worker performing construction or maintenance tasks, proper personal protective equipment (PPE), training and technique are the keys to preventing injuries.
Our combination of classroom and hands-on instruction will get you the training you need to stay compliant when working with small calliper trees, brush, and demo of job sites material such as skids. You will learn how to recognize hazards, maintain your chainsaw and work safety at all times. The final length of the course will ultimately depend on the number of students, their experience levels and class participation during discussions and practical training.

NOTE: This is not a felling course. Chainsaw Safety training is for workers who will be cutting or limbing small caliper trees, brush, hedges or cutting smaller pieces of wood.

Highlights
We provide two training options: Experienced operators receive an overview of theory and evaluation of their techniques. New operators will spend more time in practical training to become familiar with the chainsaw and safe cutting procedures. Training on client specific equipment.
