This comprehensive course introduces well meaning concepts - how employees, supervisor and employers can build and maintain a respectful workplace that’s free of violence, harassment and discrimination.
We realize that this is not always an easy task, and Safety Guys recognizes that one course alone is not going to change the world. But, if it can help even one person to realize they need to do better...then that is a start. There is deeper, harder work that needs to be done in this country for true respect, equality, inclusiveness and reconciliation to happen.

Who is this course for?
This course has been written to address the legal responsibilities of the employee - if you are a supervisor or an employer there are additional tools that you may need to stay legally compliant with current laws. If this subject is new to you, we hope that you will learn to appreciate what a respectful workplace looks like and how you can play a role in creating and promoting inclusivity and the steps you can take to help protect coworkers in distress. From a legal standpoint, you will learn how to distinguish between harassment and discrimination, and what anti-discrimination laws are in place. We will also discuss the uncomfortable topics of workplace violence and sexual harassment, legal prevention strategies, and what you can do to combat inappropriate behaviour. |
